Tim Evans' "Continuum" is a thought-provoking collection of 25 charcoal drawings that explore the theme of continuity and the human experience within the modern, urban landscape. Through the use of dark, shadowy forms and reflective figures caught in moments of contemplation, the artist invites the viewer to consider the larger context of their own lives and the world around them. The city serves as a backdrop for these pieces, representing the constant cycle of activity and change and the ever-present din of modern life. The figures stand still, lost in thought and contemplation, highlighting the ways in which we try to find connection within these environments. Evans' work is inspired by philosophical themes of nihilism and redemption, and these pieces invite the viewer to consider the conflict between these opposing forces within the human experience.
