Pūtaketake is the base of a pattern which is repeated.
These works are the beginning of a collection that is an open and continuous study of
seasonal patterns in the artist's life.
Through contrast of colour and lines, Hamuera peels back layer after layer, to become
familiar with all angles of its face. Cruel. Sweet. Swift & Still. At times the patterns
