TELE WORLDS - BRADEN HOWARD ART EXHIBITION

Tele Worlds is a mix of drawings that highlight strange creatures, places, beings and items from my world building art practice.

The subject matter from each piece varies, but is often influenced by mythology, TV/movies, video games, mental health and current events. Tele Worlds aims to connect works I've done in the past to newly created pieces, continually adding and connecting to the fictional universe that I have created.

SINK OR SWIM - SAM CHAN ART EXHIBITION

Sink or Swim

Sink or swim, a situation in which you will fail if you do not make a lot of effort. Growing up in this

harsh world, where pressure is constantly put on you to succeed in life, will you sink or swim?

This collection of works is a reflection of that overwhelming feeling, feeling boxed in and isolated,

where it seems like nothing can pull you out. How do you find clarity, how to we pull ourselves out

from this sinking feeling and eventually swim?

FINN GOLDSTRAW EXHIBITION - COLLAGE WORKS

Collage works is an exploration of colour, form, and the tangibility of photographs. Conceived during Melbourne COVID lockdowns, the lack of funds and access to different mediums led me to explore home-use inkjet printers within my practice. The limitations in resolution and quality of my printed media allowed me to place my focus passed the subject of the image and to explore colour, texture, destruction, and consequential repair. Through saturated colour fields and collage techniques, this series asks the viewer to explore their own connections with the work and how abstraction can suggest ideas of relationships, emotion, damage, and healing. Inspired by the works of Mark Rothko and other mid-century artists, this project explores the connection between abstract expressionism and photography.
